ABOUT THIS CONCERT
LIVE ON STAGE | Local singer-songwriters Katie Morey and Cammy Enaharo join forces to weave a musical spell, mixing musical styles and supported by their talented bandmates, for what promises to be an unforgettable night of live music on stage at The Little.
Cammy Enaharo and Katie Morey have been active musicians in the Rochester music scene for nearly half their lives. They met in a bookstore back in 2014 and soon bonded on both a personal and musical level. Since then, they have been close friends and collaborators. The name ‘Bat Sisters’ comes from the first time they performed as a duo on the infamous Bug Jar stage wearing second-hand bat costumes. Though the costumes are long gone, the name stuck. Separately, the two women lead active solo projects backed by some of Rochester’s most talented musicians. Their newest venture will be the first of its kind, when the two will take the stage with each other, along with their bandmates, Gary Crocker, Joe Parker, Ryder Eaton, Jared Tinkham, Alex Northrup and Ben Morey. Alternating on each other’s songs, they aim to tell an interweaving story of friendship, love, hardship and hope.
Enaharo’s sound pulls from the stylings of folk, pop, and soul music to create something that is uniquely hers. She released her latest album “Hard To Look At” earlier this year. Morey released an album around the same time, titled “Friend of a Friend” which draws on inspirations from some of her favorite songwriters, such as Carole King and Joni Mitchell, while adding elements of chamber-pop and jazz. This concert will highlight the music from both albums as well as a debut of their new song “Our Road”, which they co-wrote this summer.
