Mission Statement

The Little Theatre is the premier cultural center for the presentation of American independent and foreign films, visual arts and music for the greater Rochester community. Through educational events, the Little Theatre provides local artists a place to share and discuss their visions with a diverse audience. The Little Theatre engages the community in a warm and inviting atmosphere with programming that stimulates and expands thought, inspires the spirit, promotes friendly discussion and opens cultural horizons.

The Little Theatre Film Society is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, and your membership is tax-deductable to the fullest extent allowed by law. We are required to file IRS Form 990.

The Little & WXXI Public Broadcasting

In January 2012, The Little took an innovative step toward sustainability by entering into a parent-subsidiary relationship with WXXI Public Broadcasting. Because of this merger, we can be assured that as the downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods continue to change and grow, the Little will continue to be a bright spot in the neighborhood.
