“Shared Space” by Stacy Mayou and Karen Faris

Shared Space explores the artistic landscape when personal vision is allowed to be altered by another’s hand.  Stacy Mayou and Karen Faris merge their  different aesthetic styles to engage the viewer in the intersection of the pastoral and political. In addition, the artists will showcase individual pieces unaltered by the other. 

Karen Faris works across the artistic spectrum and creates in order to escape the constraints of gravity.  Whether she is writing, making visual art, fabric, or performance art, words remain her constant in this rapidly changing world as she argues for a better, kinder, more compassionate planet.

Stacy Mayou is a pastel artist who approaches art with an eye towards uplifting the light, color and beauty of the world she finds around her.
