Mary is known for her signature sexy growl and sultry delivery. Although she remains dedicated to the authenticity of traditional jazz standards, she mixes in unexpected gems and fresh interpretations of blues, r&b and swing, peppered with her own original tunes.

Her unique arrangements and off-beat renditions of standards draw listeners of other music styles into a more comprehensive jazz experience. She regularly experiments with new sounds and styles while staying true to her jazz roots, and often collaborates with other musicians from different genres. She regularly performs at local clubs and music venues, and is also seen sitting in with fellow artists around town.
