“It’s not only one of the best horror films ever made, it’s easily one of the silver screens finest features.” – Cinema Sight

When a teenage girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter. The director’s cut features 10 minutes of additional footage, plus changes by director William Friedkin.

Based on the 1971 novel of the same name. The film stars Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, Jason Miller, and Linda Blair.

A note about the director: Legendary filmmaker William Friedkin sadly died Aug. 7. While The Exorcist was already booked at The Little before his death, we are honored to showcase this signature film from a truly iconic auteur. Friedkin’s work includes The French Connection (1971), Sorcerer (1977), and countless others.
