A daredevil driver is determined to compete in Redline, the most popular race in the galaxy. The race only occurs every five years, but in order to participate he must overcome the mafia, the government and even love.

Dave says: I picked this one because of my cousin who lives and teaches English in Japan. He showed it to me when visiting and only told me it was “about racing” and it was definitely not enough of an explanation for this rollercoaster of a movie. The movie features a phenomenal voice cast and stellar visuals that almost bankrupt the animation company (Madhouse) that produced it.
