New Restoration (2024) | Felidae is a shock to the system of German animation, a Don Bluth-esque cat-led murder mystery with incredible visuals, refreshingly mature storytelling, and a shocking dark streak. Housecat Francis grows concerned by an ominous number of local cat disappearances and decides to investigate with his one-eyed partner Blaubart. Their curiosity leads them to uncover more than they ever could have bargained for: a decades-long conspiracy of death cults, genetic experimentation, ritual killings, and so much more.

Beloved by European animation fans but never released in the US until late 2024, the time has come to give Felidae its due as a singular animation masterclass.
