hart-hearing.jpgThe Little Theatre provides options for the hearing impaired including hearing amplification headphones in all theaters and personal captioning devices for all theaters. The hearing amplification headphones can also be used for descriptive listening.

Thanks to the support of our friends at Hart Hearing Centers, theaters 1, 2, 4, and 5, are equipped with Hearing Loop Systems. This loop is a wire that circles the room, and is connected to a sound system. The loop transmits sound electromagnetically and that electromagnetic signal is picked up by the telecoil in hearing aids. To use the hearing loop, you flip on the t-switch on your hearing aid.

The Little offers open caption screenings every Tuesday. Open captions mean captions are visible to everyone, and cannot be turned off. Open caption screenings will be listed right here at, as well and on Facebook, along with The Little's weekly e-newsletter. All films with open caption capabilities will be shown in that format on Tuesdays.

Recent renovations to theater 1 (240 East Ave.) include improved accessiblity, such as new seating, a new stage, and the addition of a hearing loop. Theater 5 currently features companion seating in the back of the theater and the aisle.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bathrooms are accessible at both the Little's East Ave. building, and the building located on Winthrop Street. All five theaters, along with The Little Cafe are accessible to all. Additionally, there is handicap parking in our lot (located on Winthrop Street).
