In celebration of The Little’s 95th Anniversary, we are thrilled to launch this year-long film series showcasing one film from every decade of The Little’s existence, from 1929 through present day. Presenting some of the best movies ever made, on the big screen where they belong, 95 Years of The Little features films representing the full range of what The Little is known for: high-quality, thought-provoking, and entertaining independent, international, and classic films.

The Thin Man – Oct. 19
95 YEARS OF THE LITTLE | Saturday, October 19 at 3:00pm | A retired detective — while spending much of his time managing his wife’s considerable fortune and consuming quantities of alcohol — is asked to follow the trail of a missing inventor. Although reluctant to interrupt his holiday in Manhattan, he is persuaded to investigate by his wife’s craving for adventure, and together they embark upon a case that leads to the disclosure of deception and murder.

The Last Waltz – Feb. 8 & 15
95 YEARS OF THE LITTLE | Seventeen years after joining forces, Canadian roots rockers The Band call it quits with a lavish farewell show in 1976. Filmed by Martin Scorsese, this documentary features standout performances by rock legends Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell and Muddy Waters, as well as interviews tracing the group’s history and discussing road life.

Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives – June 16
95 YEARS OF THE LITTLE | Monday, June 16 at 7:30pm | Dying of kidney disease, a man spends his last, somber days with family, including the ghost of his wife and a forest spirit who used to be his son, on a rural northern Thailand farm.

95 YEARS OF THE LITTLE | Sunday, Aug. 24 at 7pm | A lonesome boy accompanies his mother on a trip to clean out his late aunt’s house, and ends up forming an unexpected friendship with the retiree who lives next door. Starring Brian Dennehy, Hong Chau, and Lucas Jaye. Directed by Andrew Ahn.
