High school hotshot Zach Siler (Freddie Prinze Jr.) is the envy of his peers. But his popularity declines sharply when his cheerleader girlfriend, Taylor (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe), leaves him for sleazy reality-television star Brock Hudson (Matthew Lillard). Desperate to revive his fading reputation, Siler agrees to a seemingly impossible challenge. He has six weeks to gain the trust of nerdy outcast Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) — and help her to become the school’s next prom queen.

This classic high school adaptation of “Pygmalion” / “My Fair Lady” was a staple of VHS rentals and sleepovers, and has now been so frequently parodied and referenced — and has such a notable 90s cast, including supporting performances from Matthew Lillard, Paul Walker, and Usher — that’s it’s taken for granted how charming and enjoyable it is.

We’re making “fetch” happen with “So Fetch!” — a new series of rom-coms, chick-flicks, and fabulous turn-of-the-millennia cinema.

The words were iconic as soon as they left Gretchen Wieners’ mouth in 2004’s “Mean Girls.” That’s so fetch. Both the quote and the movie defined a fresh type of genre — fetch films for a new audience. This series is for that crowd. Maybe “fetch” never happened for Gretchen, but this category of comedies will forever be great and cool (grool, if you will), and we’re here for it.
