FROM PARK CHAN-WOOK | A respected priest volunteers for an experimental procedure that may lead to a cure for a deadly virus. He gets infected and dies, but a blood transfusion of unknown origin brings him back to life. Now, he’s torn between faith and bloodlust, and has a newfound desire for the wife of a childhood friend.

From iconic director Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden, 2025’s No Other Choice), and starring Song Kang-ho (Parasite, Memories of Murder).

Let’s go to the Letterboxd reviews!

“this movie is like a marriage of Possession (1981) and Twilight (2008) happened in South Korea” – Shea Vassar

“not sure if a film has ever catered more specifically to my exact taste than a horny vampire priest romantic horror dark comedy starring song kang-ho. disgusting and deranged and i’m absolutely obsessed with it.” – Holli

i have no hesitation in saying that park chan-wook is one of the most technically skilled and audacious filmmakers of his generation, maybe of all-time — his specific playful deployment of zooms and wide angle lenses in thirst feel incredibly inspired and fun, and elevate an already cool vampire melodrama to further heights. – comrade_yui
