LIVE PERFORMANCE • THE LITTLE CAFE

The Sonic Alchemists are a group of improvising musicians. Rooted in Jazz, they navigate a multitude of sonic landscapes bringing different musical traditions together.

Bass, drums, saxophone, and piano.

The music presented ranges from original compositions to  selections from the  jazz repertoire as well as some folk songs from India.

A note from Eshaan – Over the last two years or so, I’ve been able to bring many iterations of the Sonic Alchemists to the Little Theatre Cafe. The generous space and loving community at the Little has helped shape The Sonic Alchemists into what it is right now. We premiered all our new songs here, worked out ways of playing, had line up changes, brought in many guests and now have recorded all the music we presented here. While all of us are leaving Rochester this fall, we wanted to play one final concert at The Little Theatre Cafe. And as always this isn’t goodbye but rather a until we meet again, albeit after a longer pause than usual.
