In a remote village on the island of Carpathia, a shy farm girl named Yuri is raised to fear an elusive animal species known as ochi. When Yuri discovers a wounded baby ochi has been left behind, she escapes on a quest to bring him home.

Meet the Panelists

Richard Peete, a York Central School graduate and Livingston County resident, is an award-winning producer and founder of the NYC-based production company Neighborhood Watch. Before transitioning to producing, he was a Prop Master on critically acclaimed films such as BLUE VALENTINE, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES and WINTER’S BONE. Rich’s producing credits include Jeremy Saulnier’s BLUE RUIN, which premiered at Cannes and won the International Critics’ Award.
Traci Carlson, a Livingston County resident, is the Co-Founder of New York based production company Neighborhood Watch alongside her partner Rich Peete. She has produced KILLER SALLY (2022), IN MY OWN TIME: A PORTRAIT OF KAREN DALTON (2020), III by The Lumineer’s (2019), SEE KNOW EVIL (2018), SUPER DARK TIMES (2017), and MENASHE (2017). Her films have screened at festivals such as Cannes, TIFF, Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. She is a former fellow of the Sundance Producing Lab, the Film Independent Producing Lab and an Indie Spirit Award Nominee.
