Catch the fantastic new documentary “Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)” screening Saturday night in Little Theatre 1! Immediately following will be a live panel discussion with WRUR’s Doug Curry, host of Blacks and Blues, and Scott Wallace, host of Rejuvination. These two local Bastions of the Blues will share their reflections and insights on this documentary that tells the untold history of the Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969, which has come to be known by some as “Black Woodstock.” Come out and experience what Director Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson has called some “much needed ‘Black Joy’ in a time that has been fraught with too much ‘Black pain.'”
