The Rochester Ukulele Orchestra (RUO) is Rochester’s premier powerhouse of pint-sized, four-stringed fury. Born during the late-2000s ukulele revival, this spirited ensemble reimagines everything from jazz and folk to rock or even heavy metal—transforming familiar favorites into vibrant, tropically tinged arrangements that are as surprising as they are irresistible. Equal parts virtuosity and mischief, RUO proves that big sound can come from the smallest instruments.
