LIVE PERFORMANCE

Rafael Enciso is a bassist and composer based in NYC, orginally from Ithaca, New York. Rafael has worked individually with Larry Grenadier, Matt Brewer, Linda Oh, Gary Versace, Nicholas Walker, Michael Formanek, and numerous others. He has played at numerous venues in Rochester, New York, both playing as a sideman and leading his own groups, including bringing his quintet to Kodak Hall in 2018. Notably, in 2019 Rafael played in the Rochester Jazz Festival, and separately in Aaron Staebell’s quartet at the UUU Art Gallery. He’s a recent graduate of Eastman School of Music with a degree in Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media.
