Prepare for something awesome with the New York State Puppet Festival (NYSPF) “Puppets on Film” Short Film Program, highlighting emerging puppetry and traditional techniques to tell immersive and engaging stories. The festival has curated a short film program to challenge the conventional wisdom of what puppeteering on film can be.

The New York State Puppet Festival brings live puppetry to the region in a biannual theatre festival – this year June 18 to 20, 2026 in Perry, New York.
