Prepare for something awesome with the New York State Puppet Festival (NYSPF) “Puppets on Film” Short Film Program, highlighting emerging puppetry and traditional techniques to tell immersive and engaging stories. The festival has curated a short film program to challenge the conventional wisdom of what puppeteering on film can be.

About the New York State Puppet Festival
The New York State Puppet Festival brings live puppetry to the region in a biannual theatre festival – this year June 18 to 20, 2026 in Perry, New York. Support comes from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature, the Conable Family Foundation, the Ralph C. Wilson Arts & Cultural Initiative, and the Mary Conable & Norm Gayford Charitable Trust.
