For the 20th consecutive year, ShortsTV presents the Oscar-Nominated Short Films. With all three categories offered – Animated, Live Action and Documentary – this is your annual chance to see the nominees! A perennial hit, don’t miss this year’s selection of shorts.

- Beautiful Men – Nicolas Keppens, Belgium/France/Netherlands, 19 min.: Three bald brothers travel to Istanbul for hair transplants. Stop-motion.
- In the Shadow of the Cypress – Hossein Molayemi & Shirin Sohani, Iran, 20 min.: A former sea captain now living with his adult daughter wrestles with PTSD. 2D animation, silent.
- Magic Candies – Daisuke Nishio, Japan, 21 min.: Enchanted confections allow a lonely kid to befriend pets, inanimate objects, and more. Stop-motion.
- Wander to Wonder – Nina Gantz, Belgium/France/Netherlands, 13 min.: Puppets from a children’s TV program are actually living beings who must fend for themselves after their creator dies. Stop-motion.
- Yuck! – Loïc Espuche, France, 13 min.: Kids at summer camp observe the romantic escapades of adults with disgust. 2D animation.

Live Action Shorts
- A Lien – David & Sam Kutler-Kreutz, USA, 15 min.: A young couple endure the perilous American immigration system.
- Anuja – Adam J. Graves, India, 22 min.: A gifted nine-year old girl, forced to work for a living, gets a chance to attend school.
- I’m Not a Robot – Victoria Warmerdam, Belgium/Netherlands, 22 min.: After repeatedly failing Captcha tests, music producer Lara spirals into obsession, haunted by the disturbing question of whether she might actually be a robot.
- The Last Ranger – Cindy Lee, South Africa, 28 min.: Litha, an apprentice park ranger, faces down her first rhino poachers.
- The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent – Nebojsa Slijepcevic, Croatia, 13 min.: 1993, Bosnia and Herzegovina. A passenger train is stopped by paramilitary forces in an ethnic cleansing operation. As they haul off innocent civilians, only one man out of 500 passengers dares to stand up to them.

- Death by Numbers – Kim A. Snyder, USA, 33 min.: Four years after surviving a school shooting, Samantha Fuentes prepares to confront the perpetrator.
- I Am Ready, Warden – Smriti Mundhra, USA, 37min.: John Henry Ramirez, convicted of murder in the state of Texas, tries to make amends while awaiting his execution.
- Incident – Bill Morrison, USA, 30 min.: Through a montage of surveillance and bodycam footage, a reconstruction of a deadly police shooting becomes an investigation into how a narrative takes shape around a tragedy.
- Instruments of a Beating Heart – Ema Ryan Yamazaki, Japan, 23 min.: Follows a first grade class in Tokyo as they form an orchestra and rehearse “Ode to Joy” for a school assembly.
- The Only Girl in the Orchestra: Molly O’Brien, USA, 35 min.: Explores the life of trailblazing double bassist Orin O’Brien, who became the first female musician in the New York Philharmonic in 1966.
