The Mustard Tigers hail from the Finger Lakes Region of New York, calling the town of Naples their home. Brian Elam founded the group in 2021 as a bluegrass trio; the following year, the group leaned hard into a honky-tonk sound and they’ve been torching stages ever since, from the Lilac Fest to Borderland. The Mustard Tigers serve up a variety of moods within each night, from hot picking to sentimental crooning, influenced by Bakersfield and outlaw country, as well as R&B, funk, and swing.

In addition to their frontman, vocalist and guitarist Brian Elam, the current lineup consists of pedal steel guitarist Jake Penna, bassist Kyle Ingalls, and drummer Dylan Bloom.

In September 2025, the group released their first album, the self-titled Mustard Tigers – available on Spotify or in physical form at their live shows.
