ART EXHIBIT

Artist Statement:

On display will be a visual and written dialogue about the challenges and art of aging, individualism, creativity, and community. Jaffe’s struggle with Parkinson’s and Martha’s ability to find joy in all stages of her life are depicted. Their words accompany the photos. Also on display will be marquetry by Jaffe and handcrafted cloth dolls by Martha.

The exhibit includes photos and text from Julie Gelfand’s book Hello to My Imperfect World, the Stories of Jaffe and Martha, as well as visual and written content not previously shared with the public.

Copies of the book, Hello to My Imperfect World will be available for purchase at the opening.
