EVENT @ THE LITTLE

FIRE THROUGH DRY GRASS

Documentary and Discussion

Thursday, June 13, 2024 | 1:15pm

Doors Open: 12:45pm
Location: Little Theatre 1 (240 East Ave.)

Documentary and Discussion | Disabled poets turned filmmakers document their lives in a nursing home. Using words and rhymes, they refuse to be abused, confined, or erased, demanding seats at the table. Their vision is for residents—young or old—to live in nursing homes that really are “HOMES” not institutions prioritizing revenue over people. After the film join us for a moderated discussion with the filmmakers and local advocates. Proceeds benefit Elder Justice Committee’s Advocacy, Education & Outreach.

Presented by Elder Justice Committee of Metro Justice
