About the Film:
Connecting Women Through Film
LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, our program of six films – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will travel to over 175 cities and screen in front of 25,000 people. Each year, various organizations bring LUNAFESTs to their communities and raise funds for their local non-profits as well as our main beneficiary - The Breast Cancer Fund. 100 percent of all net proceeds are donated to charity. Since its inception, LUNAFEST has grown from a single annual event to a coast-to-coast force with more than 175 North American screenings each season. To date, 127 filmmakers have been featured, nearly $2.9 million dollars have been raised and thousands of attendees have come away moved, entertained and inspired.
