LIVE PERFORMANCE • THE LITTLE CAFE

Compass & Moon began as a duo consisting of guitarist/vocalist Jason Pariseau and banjo player Joel Boyer, formed last year after their previous collaboration, The Ribbon Project, concluded. In late 2025, Sean Scanlon joined, adding texture and depth with percussion.

Compass & Moon explores indie and Americana influences, with a personal lyrical touch and refined song structures. Influences include Frightened Rabbit, Caamp, Wilco, and The National.

Pariseau’s songs arrive to him without lyrics: just chords and melodic ideas. Boyer helps arrange the tunes and once the song is in the right spot, Pariseau will start crafting the lyrics.
