LIVE PERFORMANCE • THE LITTLE CAFE
Catherine Valleroy :: Sunday, Mar. 23
Catherine Valleroy is a poet who has been writing verse since the tender age of eight. Her work, deeply personal and introspective, reflects her path toward self-awareness and authenticity, or as she likes to call it, Catherine’s Poetic LifeTM. When asked what types of things move her as a poet she relays, “I am moved by all things natural, introspective, and spiritual.”
Her first book, Better Look, tells the reader about her twenty-year journey of self-disclosure and spiritual growth. In her second book, Better Looking, her journey of self-disclosure has now taken an even deeper dive into self-awareness. Her final book Seeing, which is written, but does not come out until November 2025, brings the reader to understand that the author’s journey is no longer about looking at herself, but coming to see who she truly is.
Catherine lives in Rochester, New York, and attended SUNY Geneseo where she graduated in 1987 with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Communications. She credits Geneseo with nurturing her poetic prowess.
