Little Members are invited to join us to celebrate The Little’s birthday on Saturday, October 17 with a free screening of The Eyes of Ghana, free birthday cake, and free popcorn! Choose either showtime (1:45pm or 5:00pm) and come celebrate 97 years of loving movies, music, art, and culture in Rochester with us!

- Reserve tickets online using either link above. After checkout, you’ll be emailed a QR code. Bring the QR code (on your phone, or printed out) to the screening.
- In-person at The Little’s Business Office (Mon-Fri 10am-5pm), or call: 585-258-0400 x0.
- In-person at the Box Office in Little 1 or Little 2-5, during regular open hours.
- If seats remain available, tickets will be available at the door. Bring your membership card to the Box Office in Little Theatre 1 on the day of the show.
ABOUT THE FILM
The Eyes of Ghana
Two-time Oscar-winning director Ben Proudfoot follows 93-year-old filmmaker Chris Hesse — the personal cinematographer to African leader Kwame Nkrumah — on a quest to rescue an archive of more than 1,000 films of African independence from the 1950s and ’60s, never before seen by the public. Executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama.
Continuing our annual birthday tradition of movies highlighting different facets of film culture, we are very excited to bring you this special preview screening of this new documentary about preservation, exhibition, and cinematic representation, exclusively for Little Members.
