From the producers of Shaun of the Dead, Attack the Block is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure that pits a teen street gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. Turning a London housing project into a sci-fi battleground, the low-income apartment complex becomes a fortress under siege, and its crazy mix of tough street kids into a team of kick-ass heroes.

Effortlessly mixing scares, laughs, and social commentary, Attack the Block is a thrilling, briskly-paced sci-fi yarn with a distinctly British flavor and a star-making performance by John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

Writer-director Joe Cornish makes his feature-film directing debut — building on his experience in British comedy, television, and collaborations with Edgar Wright — to make this wildly original and exciting sci-fi action adventure, that’s become a modern cult classic.

Cornish’s second feature film, The Kid Who Would Be King, screens one week later on Wednesday, August 20 at The Little.
