The goal of versatile jazz trumpeter Rick Holland’s quartets and trios is not to sound original or innovative, but to play swinging melodic Jazz! Rick patterns his playing after his favorite artists, such as Chet Baker, Miles Davis, and Art Farmer. Rick idolized these masters when he was younger, and his goal is to play similarly accessible music for his audience.
