ALIEN DAY | In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg begins a series of terrifying events, sending the crew into a panic to survive.

Ridley’s Scott’s iconic 1979 film “blends science fiction, horror and bleak poetry into a seamless whole” (Rotten Tomatoes). Starring Sigourney Weaver, and featuring an all-star production team — including nightmare-inducing creature designs by H. R. Giger — the original Alien is a classic for a reason.

“Alien Day” is celebrated on 4/26 as a nod to moon LV-426, where the xenomorphs are discovered.

Continue Ripley’s terrifying adventures with James Cameron’s Aliens at The Little on Sunday, May 10.
