The Muppet Christmas Carol

The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Other Muppets — Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle — weave in and out of the story, while Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases: past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.

Honestly, do we need to give you the plot of A Christmas Carol at this point? And it’s THE MUPPET Christmas Carol, so you’re already seated, right? I mean, it’s one of the best Christmas films of all time, and definitely the best Christmas Carol adaptation (sorry, everyone else not made of felt). And it’ll be in a movie theater, and we’ll all be cozy, and joyful, and there’ll be popcorn (still no cheeses for us meeces, tho — sad). Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your penguins.
