15 years of research. 2 years of equipment design. 3 years of shooting. One great movie to restore your sense of wonder.
A documentary of insect life in meadows and ponds, using incredible close-ups, slow motion, and time-lapse photography. It includes bees collecting nectar, ladybugs eating mites, snails mating, spiders wrapping their catch, a scarab beetle relentlessly pushing its ball of dung uphill, endless lines of caterpillars, an underwater spider creating an air bubble to live in, and a mosquito hatching.
PLEASE NOTE: The opening narration and closing narration are in French (a few minutes each), and include English subtitles. The rest of the film has no dialogue: sounds, music, and big-screen images of BUGS!
Rated G | 1 hr 20 mins | Documentary | 1996
