LIVE PERFORMANCE • THE LITTLE CAFE
Berwick Fiddles/Pegasus Early Music
Wednesday, March 13 @ 7pm
Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Pegasus Early Music presents Humours of Whisky, an unusual and appealing mix of baroque music and traditional fiddling from the British Isles. We’ll play a variety of Irish reels and jigs, English hornpipes, a trio sonata by Geminiani based on Scottish tunes, and pieces arranged from the Rowallen and Straloch lute manuscripts. This unique blend of music from around the British Isles promises to transport the audience on a toe-tapping musical journey that transcends time and genre. Artists include the popular Berwick Fiddle Consort (Lydia Becker, Sarah Douglass, Julia Connor), as well as Joëlla Becker, cello, Christa Patton, harp and whistle, and Deborah Fox, lute, theorbo and guitar.
