About: The Little Theatre is proud to announce the first One Take Film Festival (OTFF) coming in 2017. OTFF will begin with a fundraising event at Restaurant Good Luck (50 Anderson Ave.) Feb. 28, 2017, and festival films will run May 18 to 21, 2017, at The Little.

Origin Story: Growing out of One Take: Stories Through The Lens -- the immensely successful monthly series at the Little Theatre -- OTFF  is a celebration of documentary films, education, art, music, food, and empowerment.

Aside from presenting documentaries from filmmakers across the globe, the One Take Film Festival will also accept submissions for consideration for a local shorts program from talented Western New York filmmakers.

More On The Documentary Short Call for Entries: OTFF is seeking submissions for short documentaries (under 30 minutes long) that have been produced in Western New York. The submission deadline is March 15, 2017. Additional details about the entry process, along with guidelines, are available at

Festival ticket prices: General admission tickets for festival movies will be $11, and the price for seniors, students, Little members, and members of the Roc Doc Group will be $7.

Festival Passes are now on sale: Prices are $80 for non-members and $65 for members.You can get them here.

The festival’s slate of films will be revealed at a later date.

Film to Table event at Good Luck (sold out): Chef Dan Martello and the talented crew at Restaurant Good Luck will prepare four dishes of food and wine inspired by four short films that will be screened as part of the Feb. 28 event. Tickets for this fundraising event are $100 per person. The proceeds from each ticket sold will benefit the One Take Film Festival.THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.

About One Take: Stories Through The Lens: One Take is a monthly Tuesday night documentary series – that debuted in 2012 -- held at The Little, and hosted by Linda Moroney. The series presents a unique mix of documentaries --ranging from film festival favorites to unheralded gems -- followed by talkback discussions. The final One Take films in 2016 are Do Not Resist (Nov. 19), and Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened (Dec. 13 and 17). Details on these films area available at
