Like many arts organizations and not-for-profits, the COVID-19 pandemic has delivered a sizable financial hit to The Little, which temporarily closed March 14. The Little has turned to virtual programming for films, music, and discussion during the closure, and while that has helped audiences bring The Little Experience home, there are still financial obstacles to overcome. The Little is teaming up with Rochester-area musicians and national recording artists to present Little Couch Concerts — a virtual fundraising series to help close that gap while celebrating the reasons The Little has been a cultural landmark in Rochester for over 90 years. Donations can be made at any time.

Show One: July 26, 2020

The debut Little Couch Concert featured Joe Crookston, Debbie Kendrick, Paisley Fields, Connie Deming, Sarah Eide, Benny Bleu, Kinloch Nelson, Heather Taylor, Tyler Westcott, Tasty Parker, the Laura Dubin Duo, Bob Sneider with Andrew Williams, and Kristen Shiner McGuire with David McGuire.

We had so much fun, we decided to do it again!

Show Two: August 23, 2020

Our second concert featured Hubby Jenkins, Empire Film and Media Ensemble (EFAME), Chandler Travis, Jessica Best, Maria Gillard, Annie Wells, Margaret Explosion, Passive Agressives Anonymous, Levi Gangi, Hanna PK with Aleks Dislenkovic, The PV Nunes Band, and Sam Nitsch with Tayler Nguyen.

Show Three: September 27, 2020:

The finale features: Robin and Linda Williams, Katie Morey, O's Pipa, Scott Regan, Steve Greene, Big Blue House, Da Vines, Fórro Estrelas do Norte, The Djangoners, The Sneider Brothers, Ted Perry, the stars of Classical Guitar Night, along with appearanes from Little supporters, such as Jackie McGriff, Rick Simpson, and more.

The Little Couch Concerts are dedicated in loving memory to iconic Rochester journalist and film critic Jack Garner. He was slated to virtually host the event before his death on July 5.
