About the Film:
This moving and touching documentary takes us into the everyday lives of the members of an unlikely orchestra: the Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste, located in Kinshasa, a city of 10 million inhabitants and capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a place ravaged by war, endemic poverty and corruption. A true testament to the power of music, this documentary shows how the love of music can help transcend all.
Gateways Music Festival’s President & Artistic Director Lee Koonce will be joined by several Gateways musicians for a post-showing audience talkback.
