EZM Trio is a chordless jazz trio that brings a fresh, modern setting to jazz standards and original compositions. While studying at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, Jakob Ebers, C.J. Ziarniak and Stephen Morris formed a resilient musical bond, playing regularly outside of school for live audiences. Collectively, the group members have performed at the Tokyo Jazz Festival, New Mexico Jazz Festival, Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Xinjiang Arts Institute of China, and Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference in New Orleans. They have shared the stage with jazz greats including Dave Liebman, Makoto Ozone, John Clayton, Rich Perry, Wayne Bergeron, and many more. In addition to their acoustic instruments, EZM Trio incorporates a variety of electronic enhancements to elevate the capability of various woodwinds and the upright bass, using effect pedals and amplification.
