Len DiGiovanna, Levi Gangi, Jerry Falzone, John Akers
Four great singing-songwriters get together to swap songs and stories.
Levi Gangi is familiar to patrons of The Little Theatre Cafe as part of the band The Lonely Ones; he also has a different musical side as a solo pianist.
His latest project is a solo piano album, Transient recorded in 2017. Similar to the “rural folk” style of George Winston, with a haunting quality and the texture a sweeping landscape. Gangi plays a mix of original compositions and arrangements for reflection, meditation, or relaxation.
A veteran of the road, Jerry Falzone spent his twenties traveling throughout the Eastern and Southern states and Canada with rock band Pearl. He spent the next five years as a talent agent for Rochester Talent Unlimited where he established road tours for local bands. He produced the TV show Beyond the Lyric with Debbie Randyn that featured local and national songwriters. Jerry Falzone has co-produced CDs for Debbie Randyn and Mason Tyler as well as three of his own CDs. Jerry is a songwriter with a Top Album Pick from Billboard Magazine (For Pearl’s first LP release), has established the Lake Shore Coffee House Series and Fandango at The Tango. He currently plays and sings with his band Liar's Moon.
John Akers has been a staple of the Rochester music scene for almost 25 years — first with his band, Warner Bros recording artists Hard Rain, then as an original solo act. John has played colleges, clubs and concert venues throughout the northeast, doing as many as 200 shows a year. He has developed a reputation as a versatile, passionate and powerful singer and performer who loves to find the heart of the song, whatever the style of music.
