Named for a town in County Mayo, Ireland, Crossmolina started as the folk duo of Bill (lead vocals) and Annie (guitar and harmony) Wroblewski. Now the band is a trio or quartet with the addition of fiddle and bass players. Though their roots are in Irish music their repertoire spans many genres with songs ranging from Black Velvet Band to Wagon Wheel, from All I Have to do is Dream to Whiskey in the Jar and many in between. If one had to put them in a category, folk rock is the most apt description but they really defy pigeon-holing. One thing you can count on from Crossmolina is an evening of upbeat entertainment.
