Food and Flicks: Hidden Figures
About the Film:
We won't require you to do math or plot a course to leave the atmosphere, but we do encourage you to join us in celebrating "Hidden Figures" with this month's Food and Flicks pairing!
After a successful re-launch last month, our “Food & Flicks” series -- pairing themed food with the movie that inspired the menu -- is back! For February we have the 2016 Oscar-nominee “Hidden Figures.” The menu is a summer picnic -- part 60s, part "celestial" -- featuring a cherry-cola-glazed ham, “Sputnik” salad, and half-moon cookie. Read the full details below, and pre-orders on sale now at shopthelittle.org.
Movie fans pre-order the food in advance (via The Little's Online Shop, shopthelittle.org), pick it up in person at The Little’s parking lot (8 Winthrop Street), take it home and watch the film, and then join an open discussion group about it the next day. Food pre-orders are available now. Pre-orders end on Tuesday, February 23 (end of day).
Note: This purchase is for food only and does not include a physical or digital copy of the film. For those who would like to enjoy the movie that inspired this menu, they will need to acquire and watch it on their own. "Hidden Figures" is currently available to stream on Disney+, Hulu, VOD (Amazon, iTunes, etc.), as well as on disc in the public library system.
- Pre-order your food between now and Tuesday, February 23, at shopthelittle.org
