"Faces & Figures" by Jono Peterson and Richard Harvey

On Display From: Saturday, January 4 to Friday, January 31

The “Faces & Figures” fine art show at the Little Theater Art Gallery expresses human love, concern, social values, and relationships, depicted through a myriad of processes: mixed media, drawings, paintings, mixed media collage, digital print, etchings and encaustic painting in various sizes.

Jono Peterson and Richard Harvey will discuss their work in an art talk during the artist reception on January 12, 2020.

ARTIST STATEMENT: Jono Peterson
Depicting the face or the figure is my primary vehicle for artistic expression. When I create art, the human being is my starting point. This subject provides an endless source of material. The approach of using mixed media allows even more variations of this theme. My hope is that you can connect to some part of my artwork. I appreciate your participation.

ARTIST STATEMENT: Richard Harvey
As a figurative artist, I explore the psychological and emotive potential of the human face and figure in a contemporary expressionistic style. My work diversifies across a broad range of two and three-dimensional media, including digital and mixed media collage, encaustic painting, digital photography and mixed media figurative sculpture. My work often draws on both my graphic design background and my interest in primal expression found in ancient or indigenous cultural artifacts.
