*Temporarily Closed*

Rochester's film community is truly amazing -- a smart, passionate group who help make this a special place. While we love nothing more than for you to find that next magical film under our Art Deco roof with the largest possible bag of Little Popcorn, or to enjoy live music in our cafe, the safety of our guests and employees is the top priority. As a result, The Little has decided to suspend all film/music programming, and temporarily close to the public until further notice.

We continue to monitor updates and adhere to guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the state and county, regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus.

If you've purchased tickets in advance, you will be given the following options:
- Full refund
- Tickets will be honored for a later screening
- Conversion of the ticket costs to a tax-deductible donation to the Little Theatre

We look forward to welcoming you back through our doors as soon as we safely can. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Thank you,
Your Friendly Neighborhood Little Theatre

Music at The Little Theatre Cafe is generally booked several months in advance, with occasional exceptions.

A few things to consider on whether The Little Theatre Cafe is the right match for you:

This information is only for being considered to play at The Little Café. Bookings for The Little Concert Series in the theatre are done on a curatorial basis.

We are a mostly acoustic music venue that seats 70 people in a cafe, serving light meals, desserts, coffee/tea/espresso drinks, wine, and beer.

Perfectly nice bands are often TOO LOUD for the space – we are attached to an independent movie theatre, and the sound tends to carry. Brushes or bundles for drummers. Amps set at moderate levels. Wailing saxophones and face-melting guitar solos proceed with caution.

We do not have a sound system – if you need amps, PA, mics, etc. that is up to the musicians.

We do have a piano (a rather nice grand).

Other organizational details and terms will be arranged over email.

To inquire about playing at the cafe, you may write to: [email protected]. Please include links to samples of your work, including something to give an accurate impression of your live performances.

All emails to this address are answered by one person. Our music coordinator Mona tries very hard to listen to all submissions and eventually write back, but it is a Sisyphean task. She begs your indulgence and patience. Thank you.
