It's always a good day when the legendary Robert Forster visits. His new film What They Had is coming to The Little this fall (late October or early November). We hosted a private screening/talkback Saturday (9/15), and the theme was clear: This is a must-see film. Hilary Swank, Michael Shannon, and Blythe Danner co-star alongside Forster. This weekend's screening was the first time that Forster watched the entire film, and he confirmed there were tears, so best bring some tissues to this one. During the talkback, writer/film critic said he considered it to be one of Forster's finest performances.
I can't say enough kind words about Forster. He was incredibly nice, and super passionate about Rochester, his new film, and about The Little (which was infinitely cool to hear). WXXI News captured a lot of that enthusiasm in this interview with the Rochester icon. It's a great listen if you have a few minutes!
