Meet the Artists: "Off The Page" Reception April 8

Creativity is my jam. Give me a creative tune, an innovative film, or an inventive novel, and I'm going to be happy.

Needless to say, I'm thrilled with our April art gallery -- it's loaded with creativity.

"Off the Page: Creative Responses to Writing" will be featured in The Little Cafe through Friday, April 27. The show is from ten women in the same book club. Their work is inspired by art-related literature, both fiction and non-fiction.

This concept is several years in the making. For the last few years, these creative book clubbers expanded their discussions beyond the spoken word and into the arena of art-making. The results include, paintings, collages, sculptures, photographs, writing, music, and more.

More good news: You can meet the artists during our art reception; 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 8 in The Little Cafe.

Guests are encouraged to bring donations of used art-related books for our Little Free Library (located outside the Winthrop Street entrance).
