Change isn’t always foreshadowed, sometimes it arrives swiftly and unexpected. In 2020, we at The Little have become a little too well-versed in unexpected happenings. Here’s the latest: We will not be reopening on Friday, Nov. 6, as previously planned.
Here's why: First off, thank you for your patience. Everything about this pandemic is difficult, stressful, and requires each of us to be flexible to any and all changes. One of the New York State guidelines for The Little to reopen is that the percentage of positive results in Monroe County, over a two-week span, must be below two-percent. As of Nov. 4, Monroe County’s 14-day number is 1.9-percent. This unfortunately has been trending in the wrong direction for weeks.
For the safety of our staff and guests, we’ve decided that — with the county’s increase of positive COVID-19 tests — this is not the right time to reopen. Additional note: We’ve been in touch with the Monroe County Health Department for guidance during this time.
This news is disappointing, but in our minds, it’s the correct move. Again, we thank you for understanding and we will continue to be transparent with our status during this time.
