A Little engagment, plus a look at upcoming films

Kristen Curtze was ready to watch Sicario. She had her Little popcorn, her drink, and her boyfriend Michael Seversky by her side. But she soon noticed something was amiss.

Red seat after red seat in the theater was empty - it seemed to be a private screening of Sicario. But it wasn't Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro on-screen. Instead, images of Kristen and Michael's lives together flashed before her: The couple smiling, laughing, and even a few pictures of their schnauzer dog.

And in that empty theater - the smell of popcorn strong and their favorite memories in the background - Michael proposed to Kristen.

She said yes.

"Still took me until the first slide to realize we WEREN'T seeing Sicario," Kristen said on a Facebook post.

I reached out to Kristen this week so we could share her absolutely awesome story. While she and Michael still haven't seen Sicario (yet), they appear to be enjoying this exciting next chapter in their lives. Plus, it's just a fact that getting engaged at The Little is one of the coolest things you can do in life.

Upcoming films

One thing I always like about going to the movies is the chance to look ahead. I love the trailers, posters and more, that hint at future films waiting to blow my mind. With that said, I want to share with you some films we'll be getting as 2015 comes to a close. First I'll preface it by saying this is not a complete list, and these are subject to change.

November: Labyrinth of LiesSpotlight, Trumbo, Brooklyn.

December (or later): Room, The Hateful Eight, Joy, The Revenant, Carol, Youth, The Danish Girl, Secret in Their Eyes, I Saw The Light, Mustang, Son of Saul, The Club, The Second Mother.

Many films on the list have been getting Oscar buzz, so you're definitely going to see me watching a lot of these. Just don't judge me for shoveling handfuls of popcorn into my face, please. And if there are any movies you'd like to see, send me an email! We love hearing input from you.
