RIT Faculty Speaker Film Series, a partnership between the Little Theatres School of Film and Animation continues in 2014.   Tickets for the screenings are $5 as part of the Little's $5 Mondays.

The RIT Faculty Speaker Film Series discussions are structured so both casual viewers and film enthusiasts have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn more about the films in the series. The goal is to gain a better understanding of films - with behind-the-scenes stories and experiences or general analysis.

  • Malcolm Spaull, professor and administrative chair of The School of Film and Animation at RIT! His talk will follow Monday's 7:00 p.m. screening of Jodorowsky's Dune - if you haven't seen it yet, or even if you have, this would be a great time to come see it! Hope to see you here!
  • Skip Battaglia's animations range from pencil, and pastel on paper, as well as paint on film. He has won various awards from film festivals around the world, such as in New York, Canada, Taiwan, New Zealand, and London. His film Parataxis is taught as part of courses on American Expressionism.He is known for his 1980 short film Parataxis and his 1997 music video for the song Taki Dom. He is best known for his experimental and abstract animation, Crossing the Stream. In 2008, the Ottawa International Animation Festival featured a retrospective of Battaglia's work, and also in 2008 his name was added to the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Fine Arts Wall of Honor in recognition of his accomplishments.
