Rusty Kettle started playing for the St. Patrick's Day season in 2012. Their interests? Music, mountains, fireside, folk music, good stories. Influences? Nickel Creek, any unknown band that plays in small-occupancy pubs along the coasts of Ireland, Allison Krauss & Union Station, Riverdance, Celtic Women, Appalachian front porch bands that tell stories of life.
Olivia plays the flute and sings, Jed plays the acoustic, and Andrea plays the bodhran and sings.
Why Irish? Jed and Andrea are Irish. Olivia has a smidge but she is the most accomplished Irish musician out of the three. Jed and Andrea both have family lines they can trace back to their counties of origin, castles lost in wars, and why they are stubborn and fiercely loyal.
